Terms of Service
By using awe.cool ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. The Service is provided by awe.cool ("we", "us") and is intended for personal note-taking and idea capture.
What you can do
- - Create, edit, and organize your notes and voice recordings
- - Use AI-powered features to process and search your content
- - Export your data at any time
What we ask
- - You're at least 16 years old
- - You use the Service for lawful purposes only
- - You don't try to break, reverse-engineer, or abuse the Service
- - You keep your login credentials safe
Service availability
We do our best to keep awe.cool running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We may update, modify, or temporarily suspend parts of the Service for maintenance or improvements. We'll try to give notice when possible.
Limitation of liability
awe.cool is provided "as is." While we work hard to keep your data safe and the service reliable, we're a small team building something we love. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding any claim.

What we don't collect

How AI touches your data
Transparency matters. Here's exactly how AI works in awe.cool:
What happens
- - Voice transcription: Your audio is sent to Groq for real-time transcription, then immediately discarded by the provider
- - Note processing: Your text is sent to Groq to generate titles, summaries, and flow tags — the provider does not store it
- - Semantic search: Your text is converted into embeddings (numeric vectors) by Voyage AI to enable meaning-based search
What doesn't happen
- - Your content is never used to train AI models
- - Your content is never shared with other users
- - AI providers don't retain your data after processing
Where your data lives
Your data is stored on Supabase (powered by AWS infrastructure), with servers located in the EU. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Row-Level Security (RLS) is enabled on every table — this means even at the database level, your data is isolated and only accessible with your authenticated session. No one else (not even us in normal operations) can read your notes.
Your rights
Under GDPR and applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:
- - Access all data we hold about you
- - Export your notes and data in a portable format
- - Correct any inaccurate information
- - Delete your account and all associated data permanently
- - Object to any processing you disagree with
- - Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@awe.cool. We'll respond within 30 days (usually much faster).
Billing & cancellation
- - Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
- - You can cancel anytime from your profile. Your access continues until the end of your paid period.
- - After cancellation, your data remains safe. You can still export it. We don't hold your data hostage.
- - Free trial: 14 days, no credit card required. No surprise charges.
- - We'll notify you before any price changes. Existing plans are honored at the price you signed up for.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as awe.cool evolves. When we do, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. If you disagree with any changes, you can close your account and export your data.
